Safety Information Remote Button Functions Please take these safety precautions i nto consideration under the following conditions : 1. Servicing the vehicle When servi cing your automobile (i.e. changing the oil, washing your car), the C ompuStar system should be in Valet Mode. There is a safety shutdown switch under the hood that deactivates the rem ote starter function i f the hood is open.
Step1: Activate Valet/ Programming mode by manually turning the ignition on and off five times (between Acc and On) with the key within a 7 second period. The parking lights will flash once with successful completion of this step. Step2 : Within a 7 second period after cycling the ignition for the 5 th time, Press the button for a 1/2 sec. The car parking lights will flash once to confirm that the transmitter has been programmed. You can continue programming additional remotes.
Continuation Mode : (Stop and Go feature) While your vehicle is running with your key, press the button for 2 seconds, you are now in the continuation mode. Your engine will continue running for the preset time even if you take your key out of the ignition. You can now lock/arm the vehicle if you wish to. Example : For a quick stop when you don’t want to restart the vehicle.
Ifthe Anti-Jacking option has been programmed (askyour dealerifyou would like to have this option)and the Ignition-Kill has beeninstalled , the Panic Mode works as Anti-Jacking ifthe keyis in the ignition. IfAnti-Jacking mode is activated while key is in the ignition, a) the siren will go off for 1.5 minutes, and b) the Ignition-Kill will be activated after the first 30 seconds. This is to give a 30 second warning to the hijacker, then to disconnect the ignition to stop the vehicle.
In this mode, if the emergency br ake has been engaged, the engine will continue to run after the key has been taken out of the ignition. It wi ll run until two minutes after the emergency brake has been set. To util ize this mode, the em ergency brake sensing wire has to be connected to the emergency brake wire of the vehicle. C onsult the authori zed deal er for thi s mode. This option is idealfor turbo charged vehicles because it allows the turbo to cooldown after oper ation.
