3.2 Transmitting E-mail Messages
This section explains how to configure e-mail transmission settings.
3.2.1 Configuring the SMTP Client Function
Description
• Enable the SMTP client function
• Set the user authentication method
Set the authentication method when user authentication is necessary.
• Specify the SMTP server settings
• Specify the POP3 server settings
Specify the necessary settings when the user authentication method is POP3 (POP
before SMTP).
For details on the settings, see page 1-127 in section 1.16.3, “Configuring the SMTP Client
Function”.
3.2.2 Setting the Mail Content
Description
• Set the mail header
• Set the mail content
• Set alarm notification mail
Specify the necessary settings to send e-mails when alarms occur and are released.
• Set report generation notification mail
Specify the necessary settings to send e-mails when reports are generated.
• Set periodic mail
Specify the necessary settings to send periodic e-mails .
• Send mail when the power is turned on, when the GX/GP recovers from a
power failure, at memory end, or when an error occurs
