3. Installation

3.1.5 IECEx Flameproof Type

ZR22S-D Detector for use in hazardous locations:

Note 2: Wiring

• All wiring shall comply with local installation requirement.

• The cable entry devices shall be of a certified flameproof type suitable for

the condition of use.

Note 3: Operation

• Keep the "WARNING" label to the Detector.

WARNING: DO NOT OPEN WHEN ENERGIZED. INSTALL IN

ACCORDANCE WITH THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL.

USE AT LEAST 1508C HEAT RESISTANT CABLES.

• Take care not to generate mechanical sparking when accessing to the

detector and peripheral devices in hazardous location.

Note 4: Maintenance and Repair

• The detector modification or parts replacement by other than authorized

representative of Yokogawa Electric Corporation is prohibited and will void

IECEx Flameproof Certification.

Note 5: Cable Entry

• The type of cable entry is marked near the cable entry port according to

following codes.

Type of Cable entry : Code

M20 3 1.5 : M

1/2NPT : A

• In case of ANSI 1/2NPT plug, ANSI hexagonal wrench should be applied

to screw in.

• The blanking elements shall be of certified flameproof type, suitable for the

conditions of use and correctly installed.

Certified cable glands that meet or exceed the requirements for Ex d IIB +

T2, Ex tD A21 IP66 T3008C, provide at least 6 threads engaged when

installed, and resist heat so that they can be used in the operating

environment, should be used.
