General Precautions When Wiring the Input/Output Signal Wires
WARNING
• Topreventthepossibilityofelectricshockwhenwiring,confirmthatthe
powersupplysourceandthesignalsourceareturnedOFF.Aftermakingthe
connections,securetheterminalcoveranddonottouchtheterminalswithyour
hands.
• Forsignalwiresonwhichvoltageexceeding30VAC/60VDCisappliedrelative
tothegroundpotentialorbetweensignals,usedouble(reinforced)insulation
wires.Forallothersignalwires,usebasicinsulationwires.Forthewithstand
voltageofinsulationwires,seethetablebelow.

• Toavoidelectricshockwhenremovingthescrewterminalblockandscrew
terminalplate,besuretoattachthescrewterminalblockandscrewterminal
platetotheinputmodulesbeforeinputtingsignals.Electricshockorfirecan
resultifsignalsareappliedtotheterminalswhenthescrewterminalblockor
screwterminalplateisremovedfromtheinputmodules.
• Whenwiringtoscrewterminals,useround,insulationcoatedcrimp-onlugson
theterminals(4-mmscrewsonthescrewterminalblock,and3-mmscrewson
thescrewterminalsandscrewterminalplate)thatdonotcomeoutwhenloose.
• Topreventfire,usesignalwiresofthefollowingtemperatureratings.
