7.5 How to Replace the Line Filter
The line lter is inside the gas inlet connector on the rear panel. The line lter is covered by a plate,
and both these parts are held in place by a C-shaped snap ring. The following explains how to replace
the line lter. This requires a pair of snap ring pliers and some tweezers.
1) Insert the tips of the snap ring pliers in the holes on the snap ring and apply pressure to release
and remove the snap ring.
2) With the tweezers, remove rst the plate and then the lter.
3) Attach the new lter, plate, and snap ring in this order.
• Insert the lter into the connector with the smooth side facing up.
• Place the plate over it with the ne mesh side facing down.
• With the snap ring pliers, apply pressure to insert the snap ring, and hold down and secure the
lter and plate in place with the snap ring. At this point, make sure you attach the snap ring rmly
in place so that the plate is secured enough that it cannot be moved even if an attempt to move it
with tweezers is made.
CAUTION
The snap ring must be securely attached to rmly hold the lter and plate in place. Otherwise, the lter
will not function correctly.
