NOTE
In this User’s Manual, HART protocol revision
5 and 7 are described as HART 5 and HART 7
respectively.
Note: HART is a registered trademark of the HART
Communication Foundation (HCF).
8.1 HART Protocol Revision
For the models with the output signal code “-J”,
HART protocol revision 5 or 7 is selectable. The
protocol revision is set as specifi ed in the order.
• Confi rmation by the name plate
The HART protocol revision is shown by the last
number of the serial number.

8.2 HART Confi guration Tool
and Matching of Device
Revision
Before using the HART Confi guration Tool (such
as FieldMate), confi rm that the DD (Device
Description) of the digitalYEWFLO is installed in the
Confi guration Tool before using.

IMPORTANT
Protocol revision supported by HART
confi guration tool must be the same or higher
than that of the digitalYEWFLO.

The DD revisions for digitalYEWFLO and
Confi guration Tool’s can confi rm in accordance with
the following steps.
If the correct DD is not installed in the HART
Confi guration Tool, download them from the offi cial
HART programming sites, otherwise, contact the
respective vendors of the Confi guration Tool for its
upgrade information.
1. Confi rmation of the device revision for
digitalYEWFLO
Procedure to call up the fi eld device revision
[Root Menu]  Review  Review1
‘Fld dev rev’ in the Review1 shows the revision
number of correspondent fi eld device.
2. Confi rmation of the device revision for the HART
Confi guration Tool
(1) Confi rm the installed DD revision in
accordance with the procedure of the
Confi guration Tool. Refer to its manual how
to confi rm it in detail.
The fi rst 2 digits of the DD fi le are expressed
the device revision, and its last 2 digits are
expressed the DD revision.
