Makesurethat“Enable”isselectedbeforedisconnectingthesensor.Untiltheremoval,abar
(----)isdisplayedforthemeasurementvalue,andtheerrormessage“SENCOMsensorisnot
connected” appears on the display.
Uponconnectingthesensoragain,itautomaticallystartsmeasurementandtheSafesensor
disconnectionturnsto“Disable.”
NOTE
DisconnecttheSENCOMsensoraftersettingtheSafesensordisconnectionto“Enable”.
Otherwise, the sensor may be damaged.
16.2 Measurement setup
This section describes how to set up various parameters relating to measurements.
Measurements are performed based on the measurement parameter setup.
For measurement setup, part of the menu structure of settable items changes depending on the
“Sensor type” selected in “16.1 Sensor setup.”
16.2.1 Measurement
If pH or ORP is selected in “Sensor type,” a measurement type does not need to be selected and
it is not displayed.
If“pH+ORP”isselectedin“Sensortype,”vemeasurementtypescanbeselectedforthe
“Measurement” item at the top of the Measurement setup screen. Select a suitable measurement
type for the application.
Moreover,associateditemsareaddedtoparametersin“Errorconguration,”“Displaysetup,”
etc.;checkthesettingconditionofeachitem.
16.2.2 Temperature settings
WhenSENCOMsensorsareconnected,temperatureelementsforcompensationare
automatically set.
Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units are available. If the unit is changed, the
following values are also recalculated automatically to the new unit:
• Manualtemp.
• Reference temp.
• Temp.coefcient
• Temp.rangesinthematrix
16.2.3 Temperature compensation
ORPmeasurementinvolvesnotemperatureinput.Nosettingisrequiredonthetemperature
compensation.Processtemperaturecompensationiseffectiveif“T.C.ORPmV/°C”in“Temp.
Coef.” is set.
