behavior and adjust it so it fits the instrument.
Use the key switch pull-down menu to assign activator-notes to a Layer. Playing this note activates
all sounds and unmutes their MIDI-input, while all other sounds with nonmatching activator-notes
are MIDI-muted. It’s basically a ”remote-control” for the MIDI-mute switches. This feature is very
useful for fast and flexible linking of different Layer patches that you want to use in a session.
Next to the standard selection of a note that assigns a key switch we also included a “learn” function
that helps for an easier assignment of the key switch note. Click on the key switch pull-down menu
and the following list shows up:
Select the “learn” option and press the desired note on your keyboard (or other MIDI controller)
afterwards. Now this note is your key switch note for the selected Layer and it is also shown in the
key switch display accordingly.
IMPORTANT: For a better overview all names of Layers that include a key switch note are
displayed in orange.
TIP: If you want to deactivate a key switch temporarily, use the on/off button. This way your
assigned key switch note gets obtained and not lost .
