1–7–3 How to Change the COM Port
When two or more devices using serial ports are installed on a computer, the COM ports increase.
(COM4, 5, 6...)
If you want to select an optional COM number, you can change it with the device manager.
Changing procedure
(1) Connect the interface cable.
(2) Right click on “My Computer” and open “Properties”.
(3) In “Properties”, open “Hardware” and “Device Manager”.
(4) Open “Ports (COM and LPT)”, select the desired serial port and right click to open “Properties”.
(5) Select “Port Settings” and click “Advanced”.
