3. From the View tab, select Show all files and clear the check-box Hide file
extensions.
4. Click the Apply button to return to the Explorer window.
5. Delete the “inf” file:
Delete the file: Lucent TechnologiesWLLUC**.inf” from the
folder c:\windows\inf\other and/or “LWLLUC**.INF” from the folder
c:\windows\inf.
6. If you are in Windows 98, open the folder c:\windows\system. Delete the
ORiNOCO driver files listed below (the ** will be either 48 or 51, depending on
the device you’re removing):
wcluc**.exe
wiluc**.dll
wlluc**.sys
wnluc**.cpl
wuluc**.vxd
wnluc**.hlp (or wnluc.hlp)
wnluc**.cnt
If you’re using Windows 2000, you will find these files in the folder
c:\WINNT\system32. You may also find an additional file, wdluc**.dll, which
should be deledted as well. The file wlluc**.sys will be in the folder
c:\WINNT\system32\drivers.
After you uninstall the drivers and delete the appropriate files, be sure to physically
remove the device you’ve just uninstalled (if it hasn’t been already) before you reboot
the computer to install the new device.
