3. (Pr-assembled by factory). Thread the spreading fan (K) onto the transmission shaft (J) and secure with 5 mm x42 mm cotter pin. Then spread end af of pin to secure. See figure 3. Insert the assembled transmission to the hole on the bottom of hopper assembly (C) with the LONG snout (with hole)is facing the left {(view from the front of the hopper ) to ensure the spreading fan (K) always spin sin counterclockwise direction.
5. Slide axle until lengths are equal, and install axle bearing (Y) on both sides to the axle and main support frame (F). See figure 5. 6. Install cotter pin (U)into side hole of transmission and axle. Then spread end of cotter pin. See figure 5. 7.Install wheels (D) onto both ends of the axle. Important: For a smooth assembly of the wheals, pleads make sure the wheal tubes are aligned with the axle straighten line, slightly wobble the wheels to adjust till axle ends comes out. 8.
11. Slide the closure plate (A} anti the channels under the hopper bottom with {ab of the closure plate facing down. See figure B. 12. Connect tongue (I) to main support frame (F)with the connect clamp (L). Secure with two 8 mm X 456 mm hex bolts (M) and 8émm nylon nuts See figure 9. 13. Connect the flow contra rod to the tab on the closure plate (BB) with inner hex bolt (Q), thrust washer (Q). Secure with 6§ mm nylon nut (R). Tighten. See figure 9. 14, (Pr-assembled by factory).
HOW TO ADJUST THE CLOSURE PLATE If the closure plate cannot be closed complacently, please follow steps helot for adjusting: 1. Move the flow contralto lever to the “lack” (OFF) position. 2. Look inside the hopper to sack if the closure plate is complacently closed, if there is any gap between the closure plate and outlet of hopper, please follow below steps ta adjust: 3. Loosen the bolts on the flow control chamber. 4.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS OPERATION Daily Operating Checklist O Check far Nose or missing hardware. O Make sure all connections are tight. O Make sure attachment responds properly ta controls. 0O Hack for debris build-up that could obstruct proper meson of the spreader control components. Operating the Spreader The fan speed and the spread width are controlled by the speed of the vehicle. The recommended operating speeds 3 mph, which is slightly faster than that of a brisk walk.
