Chain Link Fence Fabric
Yes, chain link fences can be installed on uneven terrain. The approach will differ depending on the type of uneven
terrain. For mild variations in terrain, such as gradual sloping, slightly rolling ground, and slightly uneven ground, you
would install the fence normally being aware that there may be slight gaps between the fence bottom and the terrain.
For more extreme terrain variations, for instance a slope that varies by more than 15" per 100' of lateral fence, you
can install chain link fence using a terraced or stepped approach. You can also install chain link fence by doing what is
called a bias cut for slopes. The bias cut approach will require cutting of the chain link mesh to accommodate for the
slope, and increased use of terminal posts and tension bars for each section of fence that has been bias cut.
