Set on top of the L Bracket and center on Post.
Fasten with 1 

Pre-Drilled holes. Install one Post Trim on the
outside of each Post as shown in step 196 and 197.
Locate the Post Trim. Notice the notch on the one
end of the Post Trim.
Place against the outside of the Post.
Locate the Post Trim with no notches. Place against
the inside of the Post.
