(107) Fasten the top as shown. (109) Incorrect! Before fastening
the overhangs on the top, make
sure the splice is uniform, as
shown in next step.
(108) Install right gable overhang,
repeating previous steps.
(113) Locate the 4 gable braces
then fasten them at the siding
splices in the peak, using 3” screws.
(114) Fasten the bottom of the ga-
ble brace on both sides.
(115) Fasten the other gable brace
on this gable, then repeat for oppo-
site.
Next, fasten the siding splices to
the gable braces on the outside.
(110) Correct! Fasten firmly , us-
ing a 3” screw.
(111) Repeat previous steps for
opposite gable.
(112) Properly secure gable over-
hangs with 3” screws, every 10 to
12 inches.
