NAMES OF PARTS AND THEIR FUNCTIONS ■ Front and top panel Set your iPod in the iPod dock (see D below). y An iPod is charged when set in the iPod dock. Dock Adaptor Notes • To secure the connection, attach a compatible Dock Adaptor supplied with the iPod. • The iPod may not be set in the iPod dock securely if it is in its protective case. 1 : Press to turn the system on/off. OPERATION BASIC FUNCTIONS Adjusting the clock 1 Set CLOCK to SET. 2 Set the time with TUNING. 3 Set CLOCK to LOCK. Note Rear panel Front panel display flashes. The time settings are lost approximately one week after unplugging the unit. Alarm setting This unit can play back iPod/radio and/or beep sound at the set time. ■ Setting the alarm time and sound 1 Press SET. 2 Set the alarm time with TUNING. 3 Set ALARM TYPE. Alarm indicator ( ) and front panel display flashes.
BASIC FUNCTIONS English Operations during playing back alarm sound At the set time, alarm sound plays back. During playback, operations below are available. ■ Using the snooze function Press SNOOZE/SLEEP. The alarm sound stops and resumes after 5 minutes. ■ Stopping the alarm Press ALARM or . y • Unless you stop the alarm, the alarm stops after 60 minutes automatically. • When you stop the alarm, the alarm time setting, etc., is saved for convenient use next time.
LISTENING TO iPod™ AND EXTERNAL SOURCES Listening to your iPod™ For details on compatible iPod models, refer to “SPECIFICATIONS” (☞ P. 9). ■ Playing back 1 Set your iPod in the iPod dock. 2 Set SOURCE to iPod. 3 Play the iPod. Playback operations are available with both the remote control and the iPod set in the iPod dock. y • You can remove the iPod whenever you want.
English LISTENING TO RADIO STATIONS Tuning radio stations 1 Set SOURCE to RADIO. 2 Select FM/AM. 3 For automatic tuning, press and hold TUNING. For manual tuning, press TUNING repeatedly. Note If you tune to a station manually during FM reception, the sound is monaural. Presetting radio stations You can store your favorite 5 FM and 5 AM radio stations with the preset function. 1 Tune into a favorite radio station. 2 Press MEMORY. 3 Select the PRESET number you want to store to.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TROUBLESHOOTING In case of a problem with the unit, check the following list first. If you cannot solve your problem with the suggested solutions or if your problem is not listed below, turn off and unplug the unit, and consult the nearest authorized Yamaha dealer or service center. General Problem The speakers make no sound. Cause The volume may be set to the minimum level. Solution Adjust the volume level. The source may be incorrect. Select the correct source.

NOM DES PARTIES ET LEURS FONCTIONS ■ Panneau avant et supérieur Placez votre iPod dans la station d’accueil iPod (voir D ci-dessous). y L’iPod se charge lorsqu’il est placé dans la station d’accueil iPod. Remarques Adaptateur station d’accueil 1 • Afin d’assurer la connexion, veuillez utiliser un adaptateur station d’accueil compatible fourni avec l’iPod. • Il est possible que l’iPod soit mal inséré dans la station d’accueil iPod, s’il se trouve dans son etui protecteur.

FONCTIONS DE BASE Opérations durant la lecture du son d’alarme À l’heure sélectionnée, le son d’alarme est lu. ÉCOUTE DE L’iPod™ ET DE SOURCES EXTERNES Écoute de votre iPod™ Pour plus de détails à propos des modèles d’iPod compatibles, veuillez consulter « CARACTÉRISTIQUES TECHNIQUES » (☞ P. 9). ■ Lecture 1 Connectez votre iPod à la station d’accueil iPod. 2 Réglez SOURCE sur iPod. 3 Lecture de l’iPod. Les fonctions de lecture sont disponibles aussi bien avec la télécommande qu’avec l’iPod placé dans la station d’accueil iPod. y • Vous pouvez retirer l’iPod quand vous le souhaitez.
ÉCOUTE DES STATIONS RADIO 1 Réglez SOURCE sur RADIO. 2 Sélectionnez FM/AM. 3 Pour une syntonisation automatique, appuyez et maintenez TUNING enfoncé. Pour une syntonisation manuelle, appuyez sur TUNING plusieurs fois de suite. Remarque Si vous syntonisez manuellement sur une station lors de la réception en FM, le son est en mono. Présélection des stations radio Vous pouvez mémoriser vos 5 stations radio FM et 5 stations radio AM favorites à l’aide de la fonction de présélection.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION GUIDE DE DÉPANNAGE Si cet appareil ne semble pas fonctionner normalement, vérifiez les points de la liste suivante. Si l’anomalie constatée n’est pas mentionnée, ou bien si les mesures suggérées sont sans effet, mettez l’appareil hors tension, débranchez la fiche du cordon d’alimentation et adressez-vous au revendeur ou le service après-vente Yamaha le plus proche.
