Connecting to your computer (USB DAC function)
This product is equipped with a USB DAC function. If you connect the USB port of this product to a computer,
you can enjoy the high quality sound of music files on the computer, thanks to the analog conversion process
used by the DAC device of this product. In order to use this function, first install the dedicated drivers
(computer software) provided by Yamaha onto the computer, and then connect the computer to this
product.

About the drivers (computer software)
If the OS of the computer is Windows, it is necessary to install the dedicated driver, “Yamaha Steinberg USB
Driver”. If your computer’s OS is macOS, its standard drivers work, so no special driver needs to be installed.
NOTE

Services may not work even on a “compatible OS” due to the computer’s configuration, the environment, and/or version updating
of the OS.

Install the driver on your computer before connecting this product to it. If you connect it before installing the software, it may not
work properly.

Installing the dedicated driver (Windows only)
Before connecting this product to your computer, install the dedicated driver onto the computer.
1 Access the following URL and search for “Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver”.

2 Download the latest driver.
3 Extract (uncompress) the downloaded files.
4 Install the driver onto your computer.
To install the driver, follow the installation guide that came with the driver when you
downloaded it.
5 When installation is complete, close all applications that are running.
NOTE
If an old version of the driver is already on your computer, uninstall it and then install the new driver.
