Power, system, and/or remote control problems
Power fails to turn ON
(
The protective circuit has been activated 3 times in a row.
If the Power Indicator on the front panel flashes when you try to turn the power ON, it fails to come on in
order to protect the product. Please contact an authorized Yamaha service center to have it repaired.
Power fails to turn OFF
(
The built-in microcomputer has frozen due to an external electrical shock (such as from lightning
or excessive static electricity) or a drop in electrical voltage.
Turn OFF the power using the z (Power) Switch on the front panel, wait at least 15 seconds, then turn
the power ON.
Power turns OFF right away
(
You may be trying to turn ON the power while the speaker cables are shorted.
Firmly twist the core wires of each of the speaker cables and then reconnect them to this product and
the speakers. For more details, refer to the following.

The Power Switches to standby automatically
(
The sleep timer activated.
Turn the power back ON and start playback. For more details, refer to the following.

The Auto Power Standby function was activated as the set period of time elapsed without
operating the product.
To disable the Auto Power Standby function, set “Auto Power Stdby” to “Off” from the Setup menu. For
more details, refer to the following.

Due to a short in the speaker cables, the protective circuit was activated.
Firmly twist the core wires of each of the speaker cables and then reconnect them to this product and
the speakers. For more details, refer to the following.

The volume was increased too high, activating the protective circuit.
Lower the volume.
The product does not respond to controls
