Determines the function of the footswitch connected to the
SUSTAIN jack (page 45). When “1 (Sustain)” or “4 (Sostenut)”
is selected, the footswitch works as a damper pedal or soste-
nuto pedal as on an acoustic piano. Note that sustain does not
affect the Split Voice, while sostenuto affects only the Split
Voice when Split is on. When “2 (Arp Hold)” is selected, press-
ing the footswitch maintains Arpeggio playback even if you
release the notes (page 56). When “3 (Sus+ArpH)” is selected,
both the Arpeggio Hold and Sustain functions are assigned to
the footswitch.
The MIDI and Audio settings are designed specifically for convenient use for when an external device such as a computer is connected
to the [USB TO HOST] terminal (page 47).
