Feedback Suppressor
The Feedback Suppressor (subsequently referred to as FBS) is a function that prevents the
unpleasant acoustic feedback that occurs when sound from a speaker is picked up by a mic
and re-amplified. In addition to being unpleasant, acoustic feedback places a strain on the
speakers, and can damage them. To prevent such feedback, place the speakers so that their
sound will not be picked up by the mic and amplified. If acoustic feedback still occurs, you
can use FBS to improve the feedback margin. The DME7 can provide two types of FBS:
Notch FBS and Pitch Shift FBS.
Notch FBS uses a notch filter to lower the level of the feedback point.
Pitch Shift FBS slightly shifts the pitch of the frequency point that is feeding-back, thereby
ending the feedback loop.
