Redundancy Networks
Redundancy networks employ dual (primary and secondary) circuits. Communication
usually occurs over the primary circuit, but if a failure occurs on the primary circuit – cable
failure, accidental disconnection, switch failure, etc. – the secondary circuit will
automatically take over. Redundancy networks offer significantly higher reliability compared
to single-circuit systems.
