■ Signal Chain
Here you can make settings for checking whether the input or output has been interrupted by a broken connection, etc.
● Analog Input Signal Chain/Slot Input Signal Chain
Here you can make settings to specify how a pilot tone supplied from the external device will be detected to determine whether
the input has been interrupted by a broken connection, etc. The settings for the Analog Input and the Slot Input are separate, but
the items to be set are identical.
● Output Signal Chain
Here you can specify how the speaker output impedance will be detected to determine whether the output has been interrupted
by a broken connection or a failed speaker. By outputting a pilot tone, the impedance can be detected reliably without relying
on the audio signal output.
• The impedance and output level cannot be detected when the output level is lowered by the attenuator.
Parameter name Range Explanation
Enable ON/OFF Enables/disables monitoring of input interruptions. If a pilot tone greater than the level spec-
ified by Detection TH could not be detected within the time specified by Detection Time, it will
be determined that the input has been interrupted.
Detect TH -80.0–0.0 dBFS Specifies the threshold value for the pilot tone input level.
Detect Time 0–100 s Specifies the detection time for the pilot tone. If the pilot tone was not detected within the
specified time interval, it will be determined that the input has been interrupted.
Frequency 5 Hz–40.000 kHz Specifies the center frequency of the pilot tone. If the sampling frequency is 44.1/48 kHz, a
pilot tone above 20 kHz cannot be detected appropriately.
Notch On ON/OFF Enables/disables the notch filter that eliminates the frequency component of the pilot tone so
that the pilot tone will not be output by the amplifier.
Notch Q 0.10–63.0 Specifies the width of the notch filter’s frequency band.
Detected Lvl — Indicates the level of the detected pilot tone.
Parameter name Range Explanation
Frequency Type 5 Hz & 20 kHz,
10 Hz & 20 kHz
Specifies the center frequency (5 Hz or 10 Hz) for the low-frequency component of the pilot
tone that is output to the speaker. The high-frequency component is fixed at 20 kHz.
With the exception of Detect Time, the parameters listed below are displayed and edited
separately for the high-frequency component (High) and low-frequency component (Low).
Tone Level -17.8–22.22 dBu Specifies the output level of the pilot tone.
Enable ON/OFF Enables/disables monitoring of output interruptions.
Detect ImpMax 0.0–250.0 Ω Specifies the upper threshold value of the impedance that is detected. If the specified value
is exceeded, it will be determined that the output has been interrupted.
Detect ImpMin 0.0–250.0 Ω Specifies the lower threshold value of the impedance that is detected. If the measurement
falls below the specified value, it will be determined that the output has been interrupted.
Detect TH -17.8–22.22 dBu Specifies the lower threshold value of the level that is detected. If the measurement falls
below the specified value, it will be determined that the output has been interrupted.
Detect Time 0–100 s Specify the interval (in seconds) at which checking for interrupted output will occur. If the
value is shorter than the time required for one measurement (approx. 0.5–8.0 seconds), the
measurement time will take effect instead.
Detected Lvl — Indicates the current output level value.
Detected Imp — Indicates the current impedance value.
