Playing Voices
Selecting a Voice (RIGHT1) and playing the keyboard
1 Turn the RIGHT1 part on by pressing the [PART ON/OFF] button.
2 Press one of the [VOICE] buttons to call up the Voice selection dis-
play.
3 Select a Voice.
4 Play the selected voice.
The TYROS has a huge selection of
various musical instrument voices
which you can play. Try out the differ-
ent voices on your own — checking
the voice name printed above each
VOICE button on the panel, or refer-
ring to the voice list in the separate
Data List booklet.

here is called the “Open/Save”
display for the voice. The Open/
Save display actually has two dif-
ferent display modes: 1) a direct
selection display (shown at left),
and 2) a numeric input display
that lets you select the voice by
inputting the voice number (file
number in the folder). For details,
see page 71.
