Engine
Perform the following steps to protect the cylinder, pis-
ton ring, etc. from corrosion.
1. Remove the spark plug cap and spark plug, pour
about one tablespoon of SAE 10W-30 or 20W-40
motor oil into spark plug hole and reinstall the
spark plug only.
2. Turn the engine switch to “START” and crank the
engine several seconds with ignition off to coat the
cylinder walls with oil.
3. Clean exterior of the generator and apply a rust
inhibitor.
4. Store the generator in a dry, well-ventilated place,
with the cover placed over it.
5. The generator must remain in a vertical position
when stored, carried or operated.
6. The caster lock lever should be in the “Lock” when
stored or operated.
