DAW REMOTE screen
For configuring a USB MIDI port
A USB MIDI port must be configured in order to use DAW REMOTE.
Follow the steps below to do so.
1 Connect the [USB TO HOST] connector of your DM3 series to a PC with a USB cable.
2 Configure the ports of the control surface of the DAW.
Select either HUI or Mackie HUI for the type of control surface or for the remote device.
For the MIDI IN/OUT port, select Port2 for DAW REMOTE, as below.
Windows : Yamaha DM3-2
Mac : Yamaha DM3 Port2
NOTE
Port1 of the MIDI IN/OUT ports is for controlling scenes, faders, and turning channels ON/OFF.
