3 PASSWORD
This button enables you to change the current pass-
word. Move the cursor to the PASSWORD button,
then press [ENTER]. The Set Password window
appears, enabling you to change the password.
Enter the current password in the PASSWORD
field, and a new password in the NEW PASS-
WORD field. The factory default password is
“1234.” Enter the new password again in the
REENTRY field located below the NEW PASS-
WORD field. Move the cursor to the OK button,
then press [ENTER] to change the password.
Initializing
You can delete all currently-recorded settings and
restore the factory-preset values, and reset the Opera-
tion Lock password to its initial setting. Follow the steps
below.
1. Make sure that the power to the 01V96i
is turned off.
2. While holding down the SCENE MEM-
ORY [STORE] button, turn on the POWER
ON/OFF switch.
After a moment, the 01V96i displays the following
confirmation window.
3. To reset the 01V96i to factory default set-
tings, move the cursor to the INITIALIZE
button, then press [ENTER].
To cancel the initialization operation, move the cur-
sor to the CANCEL button, then press [ENTER].
When the internal data is thoroughly overwritten,
the 01V96i restarts using the factory settings.
4. To reset the Operation Lock password to
its initial setting, in Step 2, move the cur-
sor to the PASSWORD button, then press
[ENTER].
The password is reset to “1234.”
If you do not take any action after the confirmation
window appears, the window automatically closes and
the 01V96i restarts without being initialized.
Tip: To clear the registered password, move the cursor
to the CLEAR button, then press [ENTER].
If you’ve forgotten the password you specified, you can
clear the password by initializing the 01V96i to its fac-
tory-set state.
Note:
• If you initialize the 01V96i to the factory-preset values,
all Scene, library and other data you stored previously
will be erased. Proceed with caution.
• If you want to keep the current internal data, be sure to
first back up the data using the Studio Manager soft-
ware.
