cdadm testcd <device> <list>
Function:
Test one or more slots of an attached device for their contents. Disks in-
serted manually will not be seen by the server, unless their corresponding
slots are tested with this command. Depending on the jukebox type a res-
can needs to be accomplished beforehand (see page 227).
The parameter <device> represents a valid device description file in the
JUKEMAN directory. These files have the extension .dev. The extension
may be omitted in the command.
The optional <list> parameter may be used to specify any number and
selection of slots. The following syntax is used to specify a variety of slots:

3,6,40
slots 3, 6 and 40
3-7
slots 3 through 7
2,20-45
slots 2 and slots 20 through 45
Example:
cdadm testcd merc.dev 4,5,10-20
Error messages:
Error message Meaning
No such device
*error* 19
Specified device does not exist or
is not attached.
