Fan Speed Control Outside of Fireplace If you plan to locate the variable speed control switch for the fan outside of the fireplace and you require a constant source of AC power inside the unit for another accessory such as lights or an IPI valve system, follow one of the procedures below. Door and Glass Information Glass Cleaning It will be necessary to clean the glass periodically. During startup, condensation, which is normal, forms on the inside of the glass, and causes dust, lint etc. to cling to the glass surface. Also, initial paint curing can deposit a slight film on the glass. It is therefore recommended that initially the glass be cleaned two or three times with a commercial fireplace glass cleaner.
Infinite Series Door Latch Tool MQRB4436 / MQRB5143 / MQRB6961 A Door Latch Tool is provided to assist with removing and installing the glass doors on the Infinite Series. While it is not necessary to use this tool, it may prove helpful. IPI Electronic Ignition System Overview The IPI system is an advanced burner controller that provides you with the option of having either a Standing-Pilot, or an intermittent igniting system. This alternating mode is controlled by the CPI/IPI Switch (Continuous Pilot Ignition/Intermittent Pilot Ignition) located on the IPI System Box.
NOTE: The Remote Receiver module can also be located outside of the appliance to a maximum of 6ft away installed in a certified deep wall switch electrical box (2-3/4” depth). For this configuration an extension wiring harness (P/N: 1001-P904SI) is required. Electrical Supply in Series: The entire IPI system can be powered by a single power source (i.e. by the AC Adapter). General Vent Installation Information This gas appliance is approved to be vented either through the side wall or vertically through the roof. Only Kingsman Flex (ZFlex) venting kits and components specifically approved and LABELED for this stove may be used. Kingsman Flex venting MUST be used on the MQRB4436 and MQRB6961. Use of Simpson Duravent or other hard pipe Venting systems is not permitted.

MQRB5143 Venting Examples All horizontal runs have a minimum ¼” rise per foot. 52-1/4" Wall Thimble and Roof Support The Wall Thimble is used in horizontal installations to shield the combustible material from the vent pipe. The appropriate size of thimble is required for each model. Please contact your local dealer for more information. Refer to Side Wall Venting for wall cutout information. Venting Straight Up Through Roof An Attic Insulation Shield must be installed where the vent passes from a lower living space into an attic space where the chimney is not enclosed. It is designed to keep insulation materials away from the chimney (see Figure 5a). When installing the Attic Insulation Shield where the chimney passes from a living space to an attic space, install the shield from below and nail in place using 1" spiral nails.
Flue Restrictor Adjustment MQRB4436 / MQRB5143 Only –All Models The Flue Restrictor is located in the top of the Firebox in front of the Flue Opening. For vertically vented installations it is necessary to use the Flue Restrictor. Restrictor is set fully open from factory for short horizontal and vertical runs. To adjust the Flue Restrictor: Fig.1 1. Remove the [2] DT screws in the Flue Restrictor. Also remove the [2] screws at the front of the Flue (Fig.1). 2. Rotate the Flue Restrictor 180°. (Fig.2).

PVH58 Air Intake Adjustment The PVH58 is shipped with the air intake adjustment fully closed. This will produce maximum draw at the fireplace. Longer runs require more draw, while shorter runs require less. If flame pattern is slow and lazy, and sooting is occurring, more draw is required. If flame pattern is running too fast, less draw is required. Flame pattern should appear similar to below: -AIR INTAKE ADJUSTMENTIf air intake adjustment is required, loosen screw at bottom of Power Vent as shown.
