Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Resetting the Device
This section describes options to reset the device.
• Restart
• Hard reset.
Restarting the Device
If the device is running slow or some applications are not functioning properly, restart the device.
1.
Touch Start .
2.
Touch Power > Update and restart.
3. If software updates are pending, touch install, and then the device restarts.
Performing Hard Reset
If the device is not responsive, use the reset switch on the front of the tablet. This switch turns the power
off immediately.
CAUTION: Performing a hard reset with a microSD card installed in the device can cause
damage or data corruption to the memory card, causing all data on the microSD card to be lost.
1. If a microSD card is installed in the device, remove it before you use the reset switch. To access the
microSD card, open the port cover on the left side of the tablet and remove the microSD card from the
slot (1). This removal will preserve the data on the memory card.
