Chapter 3 Using your Tablet PC 37
Battery fault code
To check the battery status, push the battery gauge button next to the battery indicator
lights. If the top, middle, and bottom lights on the battery illuminate simultaneously, the
battery has failed and must be replaced.
Disposing of used batteries
When Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries are no longer serviceable, the batteries should be sent
to a hazardous materials recycling center. Do not discard the batteries in a waste receptacle
because they could be sent to a landfill.
Troubleshooting the battery
The battery status light on the Tablet PC is glowing amber, which indicates that the
battery is charging, but the battery does not charge.
• The system BIOS and Motion Dashboard may be out of date. Download the latest drivers
and BIOS from www.motioncomputing.com/support.
Battery gauge button
If the three indicator lights (indicated with arrows) are illuminated, the battery has failed and must be replaced.
