4.4. Select Communication Type:

Select RS232 or RS-485 by configuring jumpers JP3 and JP4 as below figure.

For selecting RS-485

connect jumpers caps between 2-3 in JP3 and JP4

For selecting RS-232

connect jumpers caps between 1-2 in JP3 and JP4

5. Mode Setting

SERIAL COMMUNICATION:

For using serial communication with multiple RS485 cards, external converter must be used.

There are 2 types: (1) RS485 to RS232 converter or (2) RS485 to Modbus/TCP converter as

indicated in below figures. This converters are not included with this RS485 card.
