You can use the 3x4 alphanumeric keypad to access your radio’s

feature. You can use the keypad to enter subscriber aliases or IDs,

and text message. Many characters require that you press a key

multiple times. The table below shows the number of times a key needs

to be pressed to generate the required character.

Key

0 NOTE: Press to enter “0” and long press to

activate the CAPS lock. Another long press to turn

off the CAPS lock.

* Del NOTE: Press during text entry to delete the

character.

# Space NOTE: Press during text entry to insert a

space.

Function Operation

Press [MENU] button to access the menu, Press the appropriate Menu

Scroll button to access the menu functions.

1. Press [OK] button to select a function or enter a sub-menu;

2. Press [Back] button to return to the previous screen.

NOTE: Your radio automatically exits the menu after a period of

inactivity and returns to your Home screen. (The time is programmed

by software)

Radio check

If enabled, this feature allows you to determine if another radio is

active in a system without disturbing the user of that radio. No

audible or visual notification is shown on the target radio.

This feature is only applicable for subscriber aliases or IDs.

Sending a Radio Check

Procedure:

Using the programmed Radio Check button.

1. Press [MENU] to access the menu.

2. Press button to Contacts and press [OK] to select.
