2.1 Outline of 6030/6050 Wide Format Print Service
Printing Procedure
It is possible to print out documents from each client with the 6030/6050 Wide Format
printer by observing the following procedure.
• Ethernet (Direct) Printing
Printing is carried out with machines connected to TCP/IP networks with the use of the
ftp and lpr commands when UNIX systems are in use.
• Wide Format Windows Driver
It is possible to print out documents from various applications with the 6030/6050 Wide
Format printer with the use of Microsoft
®
Windows
®
printer drivers.
• BT-PlotAssistant (Optional)
BT-PlotAssistant is printer support software that operates on Windows machines with
the use of a simple GUI. It is possible to print out documents with the 6030/6050 Wide
Format printer with this function.
Refer to "Chapter 6 Ethernet Print Service (for UNIX)" for details on available
functions (page 171).
Serial output is not supported with Wide Format Windows Driver.
