12.2 Document Jams
Remove jammed scanning documents with the following procedure.
[Operations]
1 Lift the top of the scanner until the lock on the
left is engaged so the scanner cannot be closed.
2 Pull the document towards you to remove it.
3 While lifting the top of the scanner upward, pull
the lever shown in the illustration in the
direction of the arrow to unlock it. Close the top
of the scanner.
Pull the document slowly. The use of
excessive force may result in damage
to certain parts of the machine.
