11.3 Other Errors
Follow the instructions are provided to recover when the following errors occur.
Error Recovery
Nothing is displayed on the
printer control panel or
control panel
• Ascertain that the power supply where the machine
is installed is normal, that the power plug has been
correctly plugged in, and that the power switch is
on.
• Adjust the contrast of the screen.
"Ready to Copy" is not
displayed
• Check the printer control panel and control panel
display, and recover the situation accordingly.
It is not possible to insert
documents
• Check the printer control panel and control panel
display, and recover the situation accordingly.
Paper jams occur frequently • Ensure that there are no loose pieces of paper inside
the machine.
• Ascertain that the paper is not curled, folded,
wrinkled or torn. Replace the paper if any of these
conditions apply.
• Ascertain that the paper has been loaded into the
media tray correctly. Reload the paper if it has not.
• Ascertain that suitable paper is being used. Only use
paper recommended by your Service Representative.
Document jams occur
frequently
• Ascertain that the document is not folded, wrinkled
or torn.
