1. At your computer, open a Web browser, type the IP address of the printer in the address field, then
press Enter or Return.
2. Click the Scan tab.
3. In the Display area, select Templates.
4. Under Template Operations, click Create New Template.
5. In the New Distribution Template area, under Add Destination to Template, select the Enter a Scan
Destination option.
6. Click the Friendly Name: field, and create a name for the template.
7. Under Protocol, select one of the following options:
 FTP
 SMB
 HTTP
 HTTPS
8. Select and define the appropriate settings, such as:
 Name, IP address, and port information
 Script path and file name
 Document path
 Filing policy
 Login credentials to access the destination
 Login name
 Password

9. Click Add.
The template is stored on the printer hard drive.
