Plug one end of a telephone cable into the WorkCentre’s Line

connector, and the other end into the wall outlet. Also, plug the PC

fax/data modem Line into the wall outlet. Plug the answering

machine into the EXT connector on the WorkCentre and the

external telephone into the Line out connector of the answering

machine. The PC printer port is connected to the WorkCentre’s

printer port with the Xerox supplied printer cable.

The answering machine will answer incoming calls, but the

WorkCentre will take over if the incoming call is a fax. Set the

WorkCentre’s Receive mode to ANS/FAX. At the control

panel, press the Receive button (until ANS/FAX displays).
