Clearing Storage
The Clear Storage feature erases all data stored in the RAM disk or optional Device Memory, including all
files stored as secure prints or saved jobs.
To clear storage:
1. At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button.
2. Touch Tools, then touch Admin Settings.
3. Touch Service Tools.
4. Touch Clear Storage.
5. Select an option:
− All: Erases all Secure Print and Saved Job files.
− Secure Jobs: Erases all Secure Print jobs.
− Saved Jobs: Erases all Saved Job files.
6. Touch Clear.
7. Touch Yes, Clear.
The printer displays a message, then returns to the Services Home screen.
Clearing Device Memory
The Clear Device Memory feature initializes the optional Device Memory.
To clear device memory:
1. At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button.
2. Touch Tools, then touch Admin Settings.
3. Touch Service Tools.
4. Touch Clear Device Memory.
5. Touch Start.
6. Touch Yes, Start.
When the process is complete, the printer restarts automatically.
Adjusting the Altitude
Use Adjust Altitude to adjust the altitude to match that of the location where the printer is installed. If
the altitude setting is incorrect, it can cause print-quality problems.
To adjust the altitude:
1. At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button.
2. Touch Tools, then touch Admin Settings.
3. Touch Service Tools.
4. Touch Adjust Altitude.
5. Touch the altitude of the location of the printer, then press OK.
