7. Insert the right end of the roller into its housing socket. Make sure the
lock tab is facing up and the lock flange is not obstructed. If the gears
on the end of the roller do not engage easily, slightly rotate the roller
while gently pressing it into the housing until you feel them engage.
Do not force the gears to engage.
8. When you are certain that the gears are engaged, swing the roller into
it scanner and align the left side with its mount. Then gently slide the
roller to the left to fit its left end into its mount. Make sure the left end
of the roller is firmly seated into its mount.
9. Rotate the lock tab down so the locking flange catches on its latch. Do
not force the lock tab into place. If it does not rotate freely to lock into
place, make sure the flange is properly seating on its latch.
