Control Panel Messages

The printer uses control panel messages to indicate printer status, errors, and to provide instructions.
Status Messages
Error Messages
Message Condition
No message; nothing is displayed. The printer is in Energy Save or Sleep mode.
Accepted The settings you selected were applied.
Data Receiving The printer is receiving data.
PC Scan Cancel The scan job was canceled from the scan driver.
Please Wait! Color calibration is being performed or the printer is busy.
Print Waiting The printer is waiting to print.
Printing The printer is printing.
Searching The printer is searching data, such as entries in the address book.
Scanning The printer is scanning the document.
Warming Up The printer is warming up.
Message Reason Action
Address is too long The email address retrieved from
the LDAP server exceeds 64
characters.
The printer cannot handle addresses
longer than 64 characters. Use a shorter
address.
Unable to connect
(xxx) Server
A connection with the specified
server could not be established.
Verify the settings specified in the
Network Setup and Email Setup menus
and then try sending the data again.
Unable to resolve IP for
(xxx) Server
The IP address of the specified
server could not be obtained from
the DNS server.
Verify the settings specified in the
Network Setup and Email Setup menus
and then try sending the data again.
