Symptom  Cause  Solution 
The altitude setting is incorrect.  Adjust the altitude setting of the printer.

Condensation inside the printer 
causes partial blanks or creased 
paper. 
Turn on the printer and leave it on for at 
least one hour remove the condensation.

Vertical blanks 
The lenses are being blocked.  Clean the lenses inside of the printer. For

The toner cartridges are not 
Xerox
®
 toner cartridges. 
Replace the toner cartridges with 
genuine Xerox

 toner cartridges. For

Slanted printing 
The paper guides are not 
correctly adjusted to the paper 
size. 
Reset the paper tray guides. For details, 
see Loading Paper on page 63. 
Colors are blurry or there is white 
area around objects 
Color-to-color alignment is not 
correct. 
Perform an automatic color registration 
adjustment. For details, see Color 
Registration on page 88. 
Blotchy or mottled images  The paper is too light or too thin.  Choose a different paper type at the 
control panel, in the application, and in 
the print driver.
