First-page-out Time (FPOT)
For average print jobs of three pages or less, the
most important specification is First-page-out
Time, which is the time it takes for the device
to receive and process print or copy data, and
produce the first page.

PostScript is a page description language that
translates the information from your computer
into a language the printer can understand.
Because processing occurs within the device,
there is less network traffic and increased

PCL
®
PCL (Printer Command Language) is a page
description language that functions in similar

are PCL 5c, 5e and/or 6.
Processor
The faster a device’s internal processor
