2 New Capabilities in
Version 9.2
Software
The following is a list of new capabilities enabled with version 9.2 software:
1. Added a generic Icon for DFA devices onto the Machine graph. This will assist in
differentiating faults between DFA devices and BFM/DS3500 finishers. When faults occur
on a DFA device, the Fault Icon will appear above the DFA Icon instead of above the
BFM/DS3500.
2. The new DS3500 is a stacking device that also enables other inline finishing by providing
document transport capability and full DFA support to DFA compliant finishing devices.
3. Profiles for new DFA devices introduced after a software release can now be downloaded
to connected machines. If a user purchases a new DFA device, the profile is already loaded
on the machine enabling immediate use of the new device.
4. Introduced an Alternating Set Mode for machines with dual stackers (Dual BFM). This
mode will alternate the destination of the sets of the job between the 2 stackers,
eliminating the wait times for the sets to go to the stacker. This mode is most beneficial
for small sets to dual BFM by greatly increasing productivity of these types of jobs.
5. The Xerox Tape Binder is now configurable in Dual Mode (2 XTB connected together).
6. Disable status messages when trays are disabled. This de-clutters the status message area
when a tray is disabled.
7. .Add a custom edge erase feature that can set the edge erase in the range of 0mm to
6mm for each of the four edges.
8. Added the ability to disable/enable a stacker (on DS3500 or BFM). This allows the user to
disable a stacker if they want to restrict jobs from going to that stacker and then re-enable
later.
9. Enable both top trays for purge events on systems with 2 top trays. This will improve
purge effectiveness.
10. Improved jam clearance by adding additional areas that can be purged to the 5B area.
11. Added several new Finisher profiles to the catalog.
