Serial Menu
The Serial Menu and its available items are described in
Table 1.18.
Refer to Table 1.19 on page 1-58 for step-by-step
instructions.

Menu Description
Serial Menu
Allows you to set options for the serial port connection (and appears only if the
optional serial port is installed).
Menu Items Description
Port Enable
Enables or disables the serial port.
Port Timeout
Sets the time for determining when to end an incomplete
print job and poll the next port in the polling sequence.
Serial PDL
Sets the default Page Description Language emulation for
the serial port.
Flow Control
Sets the handshaking flow control parameters for the serial
port.
Baud Rate
Sets the baud rate for the serial port.
Binary PS
Enables or disables the binary mode of PostScript.
