E238 Rotator Top transport
trailing edge jam.
The paper fed from one of the trays did not leave the top
transport sensor in time.
1. Clear areas 6 and 6a.
2. Press the Continue button.
E243 Low fuser oil detected --
call service.
Fuser oil is too low.
Call for service.
E244 Low fuser oil detected. Fuser oil is too low.
Add two tubes of fuser lubricant.
E248 Transfer blade paper size
fault.
Improper paper size.
Install or select the larger paper size.
E250 Transfer blade solenoid
failed to engage.
The transfer blade solenoid failed to engage during
initialization.

The transfer blade solenoid failed to disengage during
initialization.

E278 Toner waste container
access door (rear door)
open.
The toner waste container access door is open. The toner
waste container access door must be closed when the
printer is in standby in order to clear a fault. This prevents
a door from opening and closing during printing without
generating a fault.
1. Close the toner waste container access door.
2. Press the Continue button.
E279 Color developer housing
is not present.
The color developer housing is not present in the printer.
1. Open the front left door.
2. Install a color developer housing.
3. Close the left front door.
