The Xerox DocuMate 4799 Scanner
Exit tray—Where the documents are exited out of the scanner. Flip up an exit stopper to keep
documents in the exit tray. Exit extension pulls out to support various document lengths.
Pre-Imprinter door—Lift the output tray to access the pre-imprinter compartment.
Control panel—Scanner hardware controls.
• Hopper—Press the up or down arrow to manually adjust the height of the input tray level to
match the height of the document stack.
• ADF—Changes the scanner between automatic document feeding and manual document
feeding.
• Thickness—Press to change the roller position to match the paper thickness of the documents
being scanned.
• Start/Stop—Press to start scanning. Pressing the button while scanning is in progress stops the
scan.
ADF cover release—Pull to open the Automatic Document Feeder.
