45 Copying color files from the User Software CD
Loading the Separation Tables
The Separation Tables enable RGB-to-CMYK conversions within Photoshop that
correspond to conversions performed by color rendering dictionaries on the Fiery XJ.
The procedure you use depends on the version of Photoshop you are using.
TO LOAD THE SEPARATION TABLES FOR PHOTOSHOP 4.0:
1. On the User Software CD, open the Photoshp folder.
2. Copy the files “Dc40p.ast” and “Dc40s.ast” to your Adobe Photoshop folder.
3. Launch Photoshop.
4. From the File menu, choose Color Settings, and from the Color Settings submenu,
choose Separation Tables.
5. In the Separation Tables dialog box, click Load.
6. Browse to the Adobe Photoshop folder, select the appropriate file, and click Open.
Select the Dc40p.ast file for separating photographic RGB images to CMYK.
Select the Dc40s.ast file for separating solid color RGB images to CMYK.
