Modifying General Settings
You can modify printer settings such as the language, date and time, units of measurement, display
brightness, and startup page from the control panel.
1. At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button, then touch the Tools tab.
2. Touch Device Settings > General, then touch the setting you want to change:
− Manual Wake-up Setting allows you to turn the Wake-up Sensor on or off. It also allows you to
set the sensitivity to wake the printer. When the sensitivity is high, you can wake the printer by
pressing any button or touching the screen. When the sensitivity is low, you can wake the
printer only by pressing Power Saver.
− Energy Saver specifies when the printer goes into energy-saving mode.
− Date/Time allows you to set the time zone, date, time, and display format.
Note: The date and time are set automatically through Network Time Protocol (NTP). To modify
these settings, go to the Properties tab in CentreWare Internet Services and change the Date and
Time Setup to Manual (NTP Disabled).
− Language/Keyboard allows you to set the language and keyboard layout.
− Custom Keyboard Button allows you to assign text to the custom key on the virtual keyboard.
3. Change settings as needed, then touch Save.
4. To return to the main screen, touch Home.
