General Setup Using the Printer Control Panel
Machine Setup
1. To access the System Menus, press the Machine Status button on the control panel.
2. Press the Up/Down arrows to select System Setup and press OK.
3. Press the Up/Down arrows to select Machine Setup and press OK.
The following Machine Setup options and settings are available:
Option Description Settings
Language Use this option to set the message
display language.

• List of Available Languages
Power Saver Timers Use this option to set the time the
printer waits before entering Low Power
Save or Very Low Power Save. Enter
between 0 - 119 minutes.

Wakeup Event Use this option to enable the printer to
wake-up when a job is received or a
button is pressed.

System Timeout Sets the elapsed time before the printer
reverts to default settings.

Config. Page Enables a report detailing all the
settings to be printed.

Altitude Adj. Atmospheric pressure, determined by
altitude, can affect print quality. If the
printer is at an elevation greater than
1000 m (3280 ft.), to improve print
quality, you can use Altitude
Adjustment.
• Normal: Below 1000 m (3280 ft.)
• High 1: 1000–2000 m (3280–6561
ft)
• High 2: 2000–3000 m (6561–9842
ft)
• High 3: 3000–4000 m (9842–13123
ft)
• High 4: 4000–5000 m (13,123 –
16,404 ft).
Auto Continue Determines whether or not the printer
continues printing when it detects the
paper does not match the paper
settings.
