Evaluating Environmental Sustainability
The environmental impact of an office device
can be assessed in a variety of ways. Does it
meet ENERGY STAR
®
standards? Does it have
energy saving and paper-saving features?
Does the manufacturer have a recycling plan?
In 2007 and 2008, Xerox was named to
the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for
North America. In addition, we were picked
by an independent research firm, KLD,
which identifies companies that meet
globally recognized standards for corporate
responsibility. But our environmental
leadership goes far beyond reducing our own
environmental footprint.
Our printers and multifunction printers

first goal six years early and then announced

from 2002 to 2012.
