3.1 Communication Parameters
The following TCP/IP communication parameters can be set up for the 6050A
using using the printer control panel on the device itself or using the Web Printer
Management Tool.
Menu Item Description
Ethernet Setting Selects the ethernet setting/speed duplex layer.
The default setting is [AUTO]. The 6050A is
capable of gigabit (1000mbps full duplex)
connections, however this is only possible when
in [AUTO] mode and when using a CAT6 ethernet
cable.
[AUTO] Automatic recognition
[10mbps] Half-duplex/Full-duplex
[100mbps] Half-duplex-Full duplex
IP Address The IP address of the machine in the format
XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX. The IP address can be
changed, if necessary.
MASK Value The sub-net mask set up on the machine in the
format XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX. The subnet mask can
be changed, if necessary.
Gateway The gateway set up on the machine in the format
XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX. The gateway can be
changed, if necessary.
*E-Net Address Displays the Ethernet address. The value
displayed is unique for the hardware and cannot
be changed.
DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
automatically gives the 6050A an IP address at
startup, providing there is a DHCP server already
on the network.
RARP/BOOTP (UNIX) Reverse Address Resolution Protocol (RARP) is
used to manually obtain an IP address for the
6050A, providing there is a RARP server already
on the network. Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) is
used to automatically obtain an IP address for the
6050A, providing there is a BOOTP server
already on the network.
Features marked * cannot be changed.
